Users and messages are not anonymized despite enabling it
We have enabled the feature (before) choosing to index our channels but the bot has pulled everything with the original usernames and avatars.
Please see the attached images.

Both usernames and avatars are the same.

Is automatic consent enabled?
@dan1st yes it is.
consent => no anonymization
Ok that is not clear at all sorry.
But if I disable consent, a user manually has to give consent right?

We have our channels all set like this
We wanted to avoid having to harass our users to get consent, but then keep messages anonymized. Is this not possible?
I think not giving consent means their messages are
- not shown if anonymization is disabled
- anonymized if anonymization is enabled
Ok if I disable automatic consent, will all the messages change or just the new ones or how does it work?
consent is per user - once they've given consent, it can be revoked with
/manage-consent
at least if I'm not confusing anything
so disabling automatic consent will change it for new users in the futureYeah I understand this but how is consent given? Is the user asked for it when they make a thread? (This doesn't seem to be the case, as I just disabled automatic consent and then made a thread and the bot only told me how to mark a message as a soluton)
We wanted to prevent our users getting bombarded with "Can we have consent?" every time they post.
and just have the messages anonymized automatically.
I guess consent is automatically disabled per user unless a user types
/manage-consent
which basically no one is going to doThere are 3 ways I know about:
- users manually consent with
/manage-consent
- you can put it in the server rules and configure consent automatically when creating a post
- you can put it in forum guidelines and configure consent automatically when creating a postOk. @Rhys can you please chime in here? Sorry to ping you so often mate but we're on the pro plan and are looking at using this for enterprise purposes and this is pretty important. We assumed we could simply enable anonymized users & messages and then globally enable consent, hvaing everyone's user details anonymized. But everything is displaying as normal.
tl;dr - Is there any way to globally get consent from the user (by default), that is, not interfere with how they post or need to ask them for consent at all, but still anonymize everything?
(This is how we used Linen but it was terrible)
Yeah the setup for that is turning on consider all messages public + anonymize messages
Usernames will be replaced with a random string but the text content will still be available
So these two:

Yep
but with this one off:

Yeah exactly, and the read the rules consent one
Right thanks. Sorry this wasn't in the docs.
Sorry about these toggles, it needs to be clearer
Yeah no problem. So now will it retroactively go back and anonymize everything or only for new posts?
Only for new but I can update the old ones on my end
Will do
Thanks a lot. This is us: https://www.answeroverflow.com/c/752293144917180496

Any update on this? We still seem to have tons of messages coming in with our user's real usernames. The older posts have also not been anonymized.
On this page the first 3 user's usernames are all their real names: https://community.migaku.com/c/1125648920815607828
Solution
This should be fixed now
