@everyone Hey! Checking in to provide some status updates about the project and future plans Over the past year, while we've shipped some nice new features like improved styling, user pages, and a new dashboard Progress has been a bit slower than I would've liked, for some background I work full time and build Answer Overflow on the side - My last job was taking up a lot of my energy leaving me not much left to build with, I've recently swapped jobs and have gotten a lot of my energy back and am looking forward to building out more of Answer Overflow...

@everyone Answer Overflow Open Source is now live!

@everyone Answer Overflow Open Source is now live! Answer Overflow has been brought up to a modern tech stack and is now open source. I put a lot of work into making it as easy as possible to get setup with contributing to Answer Overflow so if that’s of interest to you, feel free to check out the GitHub repository! Most of the past few months have been spent getting back up to feature parity with the original site. We’re now transitioned over to the open source version and all of your content that was already indexed will remain indexed and working. We've also got an entirely new modern UI designed and built by @vae!...

@everyone I've been working on some major updates to AnswerOverflow! What's New New UI / Static Site Generation - The user interface for the website has been pretty heavily written and is now incrementally statically generated in NextJS! This allows for search engines to read it easier, for it to load faster, and for pages to be embdedded on sites like Discord (https://www.answeroverflow.com/c/848055320928583710 - static site generation example on a community page)...

Two messages displayed on AnswerOverflow. The first message is marked as the root message and highlighted in gray, the second message is marked as the solution message and highlighted in green

@everyone Introducing Mark As Solution! AnswerOverflow has gotten a new set of features called mark as solution that is meant to: - Let users in your community spend less time figuring out what questions need to be answered...

Shows a new thread with the AnswerOverflow bot prompting the original poster with instructions on how to mark as solved, along with the final message in the thread being a thank you response from the AnswerOverflow bot for marking a solved
