Custom Names don't work with webhook messages
We are using webhooks for a channel indexed by AnswerOverflow (all messages in this channel come from a webhook). When we enabled indexing, all messages first appeared anonymized (all with the same name and profile picture) - also we didn't have anonymization enabled for that channel. Now when we had more messages coming in, the bot recognized the webhook as consented (using forum channel consent) and used the same name for all messages (it just used one of the names of the authors). We are using custom names for every message sent with this webhook. https://www.answeroverflow.com/c/648956210850299986/1051626377608171561

Custom help system support
Many Communities have custom help systems based on forum channels, threads or possibly even moving/creating temporary channels (I don't know how common that still is, we had such a system before threads were a feature). While most of these systems can use AnswerOverflow index the questions and comments/messages/answers, these systems csnnot really use the "solved" mechanism or it would be weird as it would be necessary for users to mark the posts as solved with AnswerOverflow and then close the post. In our Community, we just disabled the "Mark as solved" context menu command via Discord permissions and don't use that feature at all even though we have a system where users can "close" their questions. I want to suggest an API that lets users integrate their own system with AnswerOverflow. Ideally, such an API would allow: - Marking posts as solved - Maybe also with the possibility of specifying no (if the author didn't indicate a solution message or the system doesn't support it) or more than one (if the author stated multiple users solved the issue) messages for solving. - Allow marking some messages as "housekeeping" messages that won't be indexed (e.g. certain bot commands/responses or notifications) - If systems using channels/threads are still common (no idea about that), allow creating conversationss with a start and end timestamp as well as the channel id and possibly a name. Retroactive consent/indexing
I realized that the bot is indexing posts created before the bot was added to the server. I assume this only applies to users that consented after the bot has been added?

Disable bot responses
I saw that AnswerOverflow includes messages from other bots. These messages can be there for housekeeping/similar reasons. Is it possible to disable that behavior (at least for specific bots)?

Mark as solved via API
I am thinking about whether this bot would be applicable in some server that already has its own bot-supported help system. Is it possible to mark a question as solved via some API? I wouldn't really want to require users to use both the server-tooling and the Answer Overflow bot in order to mark a question as solved (and I would also only mark posts as solved instead of messages since solutions often span over multiple messages). I guess the only solution would be to add a solved tag with the bot (or to not mark questions as solved). I assume this would work and not change anything about consent?

Consent with multiple users
The docs mention:
In order to comply with the Discord terms of service and respect user privacy, Answer Overflow requires users to provide consent to publicly display their messages.
So, if the asker in the help channel consented but other people (possibly giving the answer) didn't, will the post still be indexed? If so, I guess it only shows messages of the actual user? Does it also provide some information about messages being missing on the website?
