Custom UI style?

My company has tasked me to develop a custom style for our AO frontend. Index text and announcement channels

@Rhys we're a Pro subscriber and would like to index our normal text and announcement channels. We've toggled on 'Indexing enabled' but this is not working. https://discord.gorelo.io/ We would also like to make the 'announcements' channel the default when accessing our URL. Users and messages are not anonymized despite enabling it

Bringing in 1-2 weeks of normal chat messages (banter)

Having this at our own URL. We'd like to support/display Discord channels that are not forums. Blacklisting them in robots.txt so these ones are not indexed but still show the community 'banter' from the past 1-2 weeks. Mostly as a way to show users that we have a fun and active community. We would not do this for many channels, but a few of those which have awesone discussion. We'd still use AO primarily for SEO. Is this at all possible, maybe with some changes to the bot? Please note that I would be more than happy to supply the feature myself via PR to Github. I just need to know what is already possible with the bot, as I assume now we catch only threads and not individual messages. Note that to avoid any rate-limiting or complaints on Discord's side, we'd only index a fair amount of regular channel messages/banter. Please see photo for an example of the banter/regular messages we want to display....

"You must give the bot 'Create Invite Permission' but I already have

The first time I tried to enable on one of our forum channels I got this pop-up attached. However, when joining the bot to the server I gave it every permission it requested and then also when I saw this, made a new role with only "Create invite link" and assigned it to the bot. Do I need to do anything else? I get this error any time enabling a channel....

Reverse proxy solution?

Hi, I am in charge of a new project of mirroring our Discord to the web, my company would like to use this actively and also develop some features for our own use, mainly to change the frontend styling. The minimum standard we have though is being able to use a reverse proxy or host our community at: ourwebsite.com/community. This is a real must-have for us. A subdomain does not cut it for our site map and business model. Is this possible at all, even for a direct cash feature incentive to get it done quickly? If this isn't possible, can we self-host this and do it ourselves? We'd really rather avoid this solution so Answer Overflow doesn't get ahead of us and so we aren't spending time on maintaining another service ourselves. Some background: We just went through this with Linen.dev but hit a brick wall where they just weren't willing to let us use our own custom .css/javascript in the page. We just wanted to add some very simple changes (eg. show how many users are online) but they wouldn't give us any access. We've wasted a ton of time with them. So I would appreciate if you'd get back to us asap if this sounds okay as we've already spent a lot of time....

Public platform vs enterprise pricing

Hi there, We're interested in potentially adopting AnswerOverflow in our community and we'd like to understand the page view limitations / what happens if we hit them + why is there a 500k monthly page view limit on the enterprise plan when the free plan has unlimited views? (I'm assuming that last bit is due to the ads on the free plan but I'd like confirmation) In addition to that, do you have any examples of customers on the pro tier using your service?...

Retroactive indexing

I used to use @Answer Overflow around early/mid 2023 and had removed it since. Now I added the bot again (with the same channel) and was wondering if it would index posts from the time between the bot was removed and now. I have "Consider all messages public" and indexing enabled....

deleting previous feeds

i found out i had posted a feed a while ago and it has answers, now anyone with my username can access that feed in this website (after ive just been told that my pics are just on it) i deleted the pics from the original feed but they didnt delete from the site...

Reindexing

Our channel has a ton of older questions that were being indexed, but it looks like it stopped in July of 2023 Is there a way to retrigger that or see progress? https://www.answeroverflow.com/c/348681414260293634...

Solution:

It looks like it's just completed a batch, the behavior here is a bit unintuitive any questions marked as solved will be indexed instantly while it's still collecting your messages

Posts aren't appearing

Custom domain is working and everything looks to be configured properly from what I can see... but posts aren't appearing. Any idea what I can do to troubleshoot?

It might be that the channel is configured only to be visible by a certain role, i.e a verified role

In the search result..

When performing a search, the title and profile appear as "answeroverflow." Would it be possible for them to appear as the subdomain configuration or the Discord channel name instead?...
