linux brightness controll/screen dim

Hello guys I'm facing a problem with dual booting almost any linux distro on my Asus Tuff A17 Gaming Laptop I can control the brightness from brightness control but it doesnt inc or dec the brightness and my screen is dim I have amd ryzen 7 5800H and rtx 3050 ti I tried alot of online fixes but all of them failed could someone please help me solve this issue ? on windows i download from amd autodetect exe and it doenload a driver and everything works fine after the screen flash but in linux ther...

Custom domain reset

Hi I started the free trial for hosting on a custom domain, I tried setting the domain, but the IT guys will be out for the weekend and I want to reset it back to https://www.answeroverflow.com/c/1087530497313357884 for now. Removing the custom domain and pressing enter still tries to redirect. Is there a way to reset this?

Solution:

Ok it should be fixed, just had to wipe out some cached data You might still see it redirecting to the custom domain depending on local browser cache...

Can you retroactively index forums?

Nothing has popped up yet for https://discord.gg/modular on the questions channel: https://www.answeroverflow.com/c/1087530497313357884. Is there a way to index historical messages from users who haven't consented yet? If they make a new post, or answer a question, will their posts be retroactively indexed?

Solution:

You can also use /server-settings and "Consider all messages public" if you want to have all messages show up - I need to update our docs / onboarding to cover that that's an option as well

Application did not respond error

Hello! Love the idea behind this app. Unfortunately, when i run the /channel-settings command I get Application did not respond error. What could I be doing wrong? I granted all the requested access to the bot.

Send consent prompt complains about missing permissions

Sitemap Returns 404

Hi @Vero, yes that's expected We noticed recently Google was having some issues reading our sitemap, so we changed the way we generate it and now it just lists all pages from oldest to newest and serves it a lot faster - You can see that here https://www.answeroverflow.com/sitemap.xml For the individual community sitemap, was that serving a specific purpose for you? We're doing a new dashboard soon so if it's for seeing the # of indexed pages I can add that to it...

can they just be messages and it'll get picked up by answeroverflow?

They can be but they won't be submitted on the sitemap - they'll just show up in search results

Can other bots autothread ?

Hi, I want to use needle, which has an autoclose-immediately feature. Am i able to still use answeroverflow to index a page assuming a different service is setting up the threads? This is in a text channel

Retroactive consent/indexing

I realized that the bot is indexing posts created before the bot was added to the server. I assume this only applies to users that consented after the bot has been added?...

That question will be stored in our database, but not displayed until the user provides consent

I saw that AnswerOverflow includes messages from other bots. These messages can be there for housekeeping/similar reasons. Is it possible to disable that behavior (at least for specific bots)?...

SEO Question

Is there any change in SEO-related matters? Suddenly, my visibility and click-through rates have significantly decreased. Even the platform I used to use consistently showed at least 2,000 to 3,000 impressions on weekdays, but now it's not showing any exposure at all
